In my experience it'd be a whole lot easier for me to be up front and a lot less heartache for me later if a guy could tell me from the get go whether we're just going to be fucking, if they're looking for something, or if they're even open to the idea of anything in the future. I have had ONE guy in my entire life be completely honest with me as far as that goes. I hung out with him I liked him but I kept my cool cuz I never let my feelings go too far because I knew that it was nothing that would ever be something more. I never slept with him either, guess that sucks for him. But I never did get hurt by him and I owe it to him for being completely honest with me. The problems seem to occur.. at least for me.. when I get frustrated because I do have feelings or they're starting to develop and I don't know how to get that across without totally laying myself on the line. Somehow communication is totally broken down between myself and any given dude and I get butt hurt.. he gets irritated... and well tempers flare and we stop talking or really have a serious i hate you right now tension between us for a while. I proceed to feel like a complete idiot which.. i mean i probably could have helped that by not saying or doing some things I may have but it would really seriously help if guys.. and girls both could be up front and 100% completely honest. It's a whole different ball game when the guy is too much into the girl tho.... we won't go there cuz I don't handle that well.. i just ignore them.. hehe :) :) if guys maybe would tell a girl up front what she may need to know then it would be pretty simple too.
